Some members of our staff enjoy working for our team and the benefits we offer so much that they’ve encouraged members of their own families to work with us as well! This, along with our usual standard of creating a comfortable and supportive work environment, ensures our team members come to work each day ready to help the people of Brookings with a trusted team behind them for support.

From Family-Owned to Family-Staffed

Working with family is not a new concept around here — in fact, that’s how it all started.

General manager Matt Einspahr and President Ron Einspahr started the family-friendly environment with a father-son operation, and have kept it that way for 53 years now.

But the family ties don’t stop there — in our sales department, we have father and son, Ryan and Peyton Ramstad. But don’t get the idea that all relatives here work in the same department, McIane Mertz works in sales and his son Keegan Mertz works in reconditioning. Mary Turner is one of our star service assistants and her daughter Megan Busche is now one of our reconditioning assistants.

From our service and parts departments working on vehicles to our sales team out on the floor showing any number of new or used cars, we like to get up and move.

We’re confident our team and our training processes set everyone here up for success, and our low turnover rate has been a great sign of this. More than half of our employees have been working for Einspahr for at least five years. But more than that, we have a few values we like to stick to:

Work/life balance: We won’t ask you to stay later just to sell one more vehicle, many of us have families and pets at home to spend time with as well.

Staying involved in the community: On top of supporting local businesses and schools throughout the year, we also support an annual truck raffle for the Brookings Boys and Girls Club.
