EVs coming to Brookings

n

Electric vehicles are no longer reserved for tech gurus on the west coast. While we’ve already seen electric vehicles (EVs) (like the 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E) make their way to the Einspahr lot, you’re sure to see more arrive in 2022 and beyond.

n

We break down what the increase in electric vehicles for sale in Brookings means for drivers and our community, and the EVs set to arrive on the lot in 2022!

How Electric Vehicles for Sale in Brookings Impact the Community

n

As more EVs make their way to the midwest, communities like Brookings will see a few changes.

n

You’ll likely see more EV charging stations pop up at Brookings car dealerships, gas stations, and other public areas of town. Charging an electric vehicle takes more time than filling up with a tank of gas, but many find the eco-friendly features, lower charging costs, and tax incentives to be worth the extra time.

n

Even though we don’t expect electric vehicles to outnumber gas vehicles anytime in the near future, EVs will continue to leave their mark across the country, including our area of South Dakota. Here are some electric vehicles made by Ford, Jeep, and RAM you may be seeing soon on the Einspahr lot

The Mustang received an electric twist when Ford released the Mustang Mach-E earlier this year.

n

The Mach-E embraces eco-friendly features while still having a similar sleek and sporty design found in the classic Ford Mustang. And acceleration isn’t a problem, as it goes 0-60 mpg in about 3.5 seconds.

Perhaps one of the most intriguing all-electric vehicles coming to the market next year is the 2022 F-150 Lightning, the first ever F-Series that’s gas-free.

n

If you’re skeptical that an electric F-150 has the power you’re used to in the gas-powered F-150, you’ll be delightfully surprised to learn that the F-150 Lightning offers an available 9.6kW of max power provided through 11 outlets

n

Plus, the F-150 Lightning features available Ford Intelligent Backup Power that can provide full-home power for up to three days on a fully charged battery, or as long as 10 days if rationing power.
